Rewind to 2012

In order to get to know us a little better, I figured I better back it up a little bit to the day we got married.   Imagine me backing it up to this song (ha!):
Eric and I are high school sweethearts.  We have been together for 9 years this August.  On August 18th, we will celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary.  Although we live around the Dayton area and both went to college around here, we decided that it only made sense for us to get married in our hometown of Circleville.  It was the most gorgeous day,
filled with so much love,
family/friends whose support means the world to us,
a few quirky moments,
and lots of crazy dance moves!

(We even had our own "men in black" security!) :)

For the first year of our marriage, I taught kindergarten while Eric finished school.  We lived in a suburb of Dayton and rented a house for about a year and a half.  Once Eric completed his undergrad in Mechanical Engineering, he got a job with a company he interned with.  Our lives changed a little bit when I landed a new teaching job, which was about a 40 minute drive from the house we were renting.  We knew right away that we had to figure out a better living situation that wasn't going to cost us a fortune in gas.  That is how we ended up in our lovely two story home that is in the perfect location and right in the middle of both of our jobs.

Are you a new homeowner?  Share your house adventures with us!  Are you and your husband/wife high school sweethearts?  Do you love DIY projects?  Well stay tuned for some down and dirty DIY projects that are going on inside our humble abode.

    1. It is so nice to connect with other new homeowners and bloggers like yourself! We are working on taking photos of each room in our house to share on the blog. We revealed our powder room and most of our front entryway so far. We think it is more exciting to not put it all out there at once--we like to keep people on the edge of their seats so to speak. I'm really loving your blog and am now following you! :)
